"The Weight of Existence." 2024
Muhammet Türközü is a fine art photographer based in Germany. His work focuses on symbolic and atmospheric imagery, exploring themes such as isolation, transition, and the fragile relationship between humans and nature. Drawing inspiration from cinema, mythology, and classical painting, he works primarily with long-term conceptual series in black and white.
"The selected photographs explore *cold* not only as a physical condition, but as an emotional and existential state. Fog, silence, and restrained landscapes become spaces where time feels suspended and human presence appears fragile. Rather than depicting cold through snow or ice, the images approach it as distance, stillness, and quiet tension - moments where life slows down and meaning emerges through absence."

Nelson Reis

"Winter March." 2023
"My work is an exploration of stillness - moments when landscape becomes less about place and more about feeling. I am drawn to winter for its ability to strip the world down to essentials: light, form, movement, and silence. Snow, wind, and distance soften detail and allow the image to hover between representation and abstraction. These photographs are not documents of location, but studies of presence. Through minimal composition and subdued contrast, I seek to create space for pause - where the viewer can slow down, breathe, and inhabit the quiet within the frame."

"The Puppet." 2025
"I am from Ukraine and have lived in the Czech Republic for 15 years. I have been engaged in photography since 2020. In my work, I primarily explore the feminine essence - what is inside, what is hidden from prying eyes. I try to convey fragility, tenderness, passion, and at the same time the amazing strength of female nature. Surreal fashion meets soft-focus fantasy. The style is cinematic, painterly, and emotionally rich - a fusion of Haute Couture editorial, fine art photography, and visual storytelling. I design and create every costume you see in my work - not as garments, but as living extensions of the stories I want to tell. Each piece is a fusion of emotion, fantasy, and form, handcrafted with intention. My work blurs the line between fashion, performance, and dream - where fabric becomes character and silhouette becomes spell."

Mari Yokoichi
Price: £120
"Chinophile’s dream." 2017
Mari Yokoichi is a photographer and abstract artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. Her work has been presented in a solo exhibition at Galleri Sandelin and at Planket, one of Sweden’s most established outdoor photography exhibitions. Her project Waiting waiting, passing by has been published, and her work has also appeared in Docu Magazine. She studied photography for Ann Eringstam, a renowned swedish photographer.
"My photographic practice is rooted in close observation and an interest in the quiet structures that shape everyday life. I am drawn to transitional and often overlooked environments - streets, passageways, architectural fragments; where light, surface, and geometry interact subtly. These spaces, though seemingly ordinary, carry a quiet tension between presence and absence, movement and pause. Through photography, I seek to slow down perception and create room for reflection. My work invites viewers to engage with familiar environments in a new way; to notice what is usually passed by, and to find meaning and beauty within moments that might otherwise remain unseen."

"There was a Fairy." 2024
"They say that on the last night of winter, when the frost threatens to slip away too soon and the earth trembles at the return of spring, a snow fairy watches silently over the world. She has no dazzling wings, no glittering gown - she is made of thin wind, of light flakes, of white breath. But that year, winter was weary, and the frost melted before its time. Rivers ran, buds opened, and the air already smelled of living earth. The fairy understood that dancing on mountaintops or breathing across frozen ponds would no longer be enough. To save winter, she would have to offer herself. So, in one final delicate turn, the fairy dissolved: her body became snow, her song turned to silence, her heart scattered into a million falling flakes. And when morning came, only a small magic wand remained on the hill, standing in the fresh snow - a quiet reminder that sometimes, to preserve the beauty of a season, someone must become it."

Ryan Duclos
Price: Upon request.
"American Bison." 2020
Ryan Duclos is a professional photographer whose work is rooted in storytelling, authenticity, and a deep respect for legacy. The Duclos (Desclaux) family name is woven into the early history of photography, once known as the largest family of photographers for nearly a century, from 1839 to 1936. That lineage ended with Ryan’s great-grandfather - until Ryan unknowingly revived it generations later by picking up a camera himself.
Though not raised around photographers or darkrooms, Ryan’s connection to the medium feels deeply inherited. His work reflects an intuitive understanding of photography as a tool for preserving history, honoring human connection, and capturing moments that would otherwise be lost to time. In continuing the Duclos legacy, Ryan bridges past and present, using modern tools to tell timeless stories.
"Photography, for me, is both a personal practice and a reclamation of history. My relationship with the medium traces back to my ancestors in France, where the Duclos (Desclaux) family was once known as one of the largest families of photographers, active from 1839 to 1936. For nearly a century, photography was our family’s trade, language, and livelihood - until it abruptly ended during the Great Depression after a chemical fire in a darkroom. Following that accident, my great-grandfather passed away, and with him, the photographic legacy of our family went silent. I did not grow up surrounded by photographers or darkrooms. That lineage was lost long before I was born. Yet somehow, generations later, I found my way back to the camera. Picking it up felt less like discovering something new and more like remembering something old - an instinctive pull toward seeing, preserving, and honouring moments before they disappear. My work is rooted in storytelling, authenticity, and respect for place. I am especially drawn to winter landscapes and snow-covered environments. Winter strips the world down to its essentials - light, shadow, form, and silence. In these conditions, I find clarity. Snow softens chaos, quiets distractions, and reveals subtle details that often go unnoticed. Photographing in winter has become a meditation for me, a space where time slows and memory feels close to the surface."
"Through my images, I seek to create photographs that feel lived-in rather than staged - moments that carry weight, emotion, and truth. Whether documenting people, landscapes, or fleeting interactions, my goal is to honour what is real and ephemeral. Photography, to me, is not about spectacle; it is about preservation. It is a way of holding onto what would otherwise be lost - to time, to history, or to memory. In returning to photography, I am not only creating new work, but continuing a story that began long before me. My images exist at the intersection of past and present, shaped by legacy, loss, and a deep reverence for the quiet beauty of the world around us."

"Autumnal Decay." 2025
"I am a chef turned photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa. I began my photography journey with food, photographing plates and styled setups for my portfolio, using my mobile phone. I then was accepted into a community photography programme that left me with a deep love and appreciation for fine art photography and the impact made by focusing on details others may walk right past. For me, photography is a way to show how I see the world. Forgotten corners, objects and places brought into a dark limelight to show a new perspective."

"Fuji." 2018
"Ichido wa Fuji ni noboru beshi, nido wa baka". A wise man climbs Mount Fuji once; a fool does it twice. Mount Fuji is a sacred mountain in both Shintoism and Buddhism. In the past, many pilgrims climbed the mountain for religious reasons. Even today, some still ascend for religious reasons, but most are driven by different motivations. Mount Fuji has become a money-making machine. It is now climbed via four main routes for only about two months of the year. During this period, between 200,000 and 300,000 people make the ascent, an average of around 4,000 per day! At the summit is the Fujisan Post Office, where you can purchase special stamps and postcards bearing a summit seal. Many people send postcards from here to prove they have climbed the mountain. There are several souvenir shops at the various stations, especially at the summit, selling amulets (omamori) and T-shirts, among other things. Furthermore, there are over 15 mountain huts along the climbing routes where you can spend the night, eat, and rest. In winter, the snow-covered mountain is known as ‘Shira-Fuji’ (white mountain) or ‘Shiroi Fuji’ (white mountain). Its pristine white cloak makes it seem even more remote and unapproachable, enhancing the mountain’s sacred, almost otherworldly character in the Japanese perception. My photo was taken at the end of November 2018, when it was cold and there was snow not just on the summit. The venerable Fuji-san radiates a majestic tranquillity, as if July and August did not exist."

"The mountains are, for me, the most fascinating landscape to contemplate. These tectonic plates collide and shift, giving rise to jagged textures. Everything is under pressure: the rock, the streams, the intertwined tree roots; and yet, everything seems so peaceful... Each season brings its share of wonders, but winter is by far my favourite! Welcoming a white blanket of snow and frost, every drop of water is frozen, and air bubbles are trapped beneath the frozen lakes. The crackling sounds, the gleaming, immaculate scenery of soft hues, a contrast I will never tire of. In this trio of pictures, I share with you some gems discovered in the Cirque de Gavarnie, a UNESCO World Heritage Site within the Pyrenees National Park. Ice, diamonds, it doesn't matter... these crystals are precious!"

Émilie Teresina Caracciolo
Price: £175
"Wrapped up." 2025
Born in France to a South-Italian working-class family, Emilia Caracciolo discovered early on that photography was her means of making sense of the world. For Emilia, capturing moments through her lens became an essential way to understand and document the complexities and beauty of life around her. In addition, Emilia has worked since 15 years as a social worker, her career includes supporting asylum seekers, serving the Juvenile Judge and currently working as a street-worker. These roles profoundly influenced her perspective, making photography not just a creative outlet but a way to stay connected to herself, to others, and to the broader world.
She has a unique talent for capturing the essence of moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, revealing the inherent beauty in simplicity and hardship. Recently, she has been experimenting with multiple exposures, allowing her to create images that reflect the visions in her mind; an artistic endeavour to see the world as she wishes or imagines it could have been. Her photographs are not just images; they are stories, emotions, and a testament to her journey and the lives she touches through her work.

"I am an emerging visual artist, poet, musician and teacher from London, UK. I particularly enjoy photographing modern architecture. I can take inspiration from my inspirational students and my love of London, in all its diversity."
"Taken Spring 2024 near Crowden. This was the first leg of our 288 mile walk of the Pennine Way. It was bleak and cold. This image was taken of the final half an hour of the first day from Edale to Crowden. Although we did not intend for it to be a pilgrimage, my friend cuts a penitential pose amidst the stark backdrop of the Pennines behind him. We are doing the Pennine Way in separate stages and hope to complete it this Summer."

Brigitte B Burckhardt
Price: £325
"Red Spirits." 2022
Brigitte currently lives in Switzerland. She is a self-taught photographer, started shooting as a child inspired by her grandfather whose name she chose to bear as her artist’s name to honour him.
She shot with a film camera for years be it color or black and white, spent hours developing her films in a dark room. In her twenties she travelled around the globe taking her camera along and thus gained great experience especially in landscape and street life photography.
Being reasonable instead of listening to her passion she studied medicine and is still partly working as a medic. Though after a life changing event she had more time for herself and the passion for photography came back stronger than ever. Still taken mostly by landscape and street life photography but also starting to experiment with other approaches.
Her work has been published in art magazines and recently in books. Docu Magazine released two special editions featuring her artwork in 2024 and 2025. Her photography has been exhibited both physically and virtually in many countries, especially in the UK, the US, Europe, Canada, and more. She is currently working on three long-term projects, with the aim of having them published.
"It was Christmas Day. I was hoping for a sunset by the lake. It didn’t look like it, so I kept on walking. It was freezing cold, and I was heading home. All of a sudden, the clouds cleared and started to light up. I could see and feel the cold air flowing, tearing the clouds apart. It seemed as if some spirits were dancing in the sky. It was on fire. I was emotionally moved. It was very quiet. It was so cold, yet so warm on this Christmas Day."
