"I discovered my passion for photography when I was a teenager. I love to take photographs of almost everything, and as an introvert, This ever growing fondness for photography has always been the best way to express and perceive myself in every moment I capture. I studied Math major in high school. Therefore, I couldn’t start learning something related to arts easily as a university student. I started studying Urban Planning at the Faculty of Fine Arts, the University of Tehran, in 2016. I wasn’t enjoying that major, and I was looking forward to getting related to arts and, more specifically, photography. Thus, I decided to study Photography for my master’s degree in 2021 in the same faculty and the same university. Since then, I have been trying to find my way as an art photographer. Why art photography? As mentioned, I find photography the best way to express myself and my feelings. Whenever I’m experiencing any kind of feeling, I can analyze it through my photographs, and I think this style of photography is an art form."

Francis O’Shaughnessy
Price: Not for sale.
"Plaque 226." 2024
Francis O’Shaughnessy focuses his research on the construction of the audacity to live in his vision of the portrait in the landscape and the portrait of the landscape. He attempts to create dialogues between performance art and photography by orchestrating stagings that have their origins in the world of visual installations.
He creates scenographic spaces that evoke fictions enveloped by nature. His constantly (re)questioning body of work speaks about humans: their loves, their dreams, their nonsense and their quest for meaning. He introduces suggestions into his work that recall his identity mix without his conceptual and experimental representations being limited only to his cultural diversity. Lately, he has been looking at the inner landscapes and the passage of time that shape who we are. Thus, he attempts to interpret the infinite facets that make up the human soul by paying particular attention to the sphere of ritual, intimacy and adoptive identity.
Wet collodion is a primitive black and white photographic process that allows prints to be made on aluminum plates. The creation of an image is done through the use of a bellows device followed by various manipulations in the darkroom. For Francis O’Shaughnessy, this medium became a place of experimentation to architect dreamlike paintings to not capture what he thinks, but to understand what he thinks. By combining ancient processes with today’s technology, he revisits the knowledge of the past to push the limits of visual photography as well as its current concepts. Known for his singular approach, his exploratory studies focused on visual poetry reveal the concrete signature of his imagination.
For him, it is truly a poetic act to capture feelings of escape and elevation of the spirit and then transform, metamorphose or reinvent them into photographic compositions.

It’s a period where you are supposed to grow healthy and evolve into a better version of yourself, a beautiful mature grown woman. Yet something is inside you, a mold that is spreading into your insides, getting you infected, making you unwanted. And you can’t explain it to anyone. There’s no rational or scientific solution to it."

"Melancholy." 2024
Huang Yingying (b.1993) is a Chinese artist who currently lives in London. She switched from science to art after discovering a great interest in art during her high school years. In 2023, she held her first solo exhibition at the V.O Curations in London. In 2024, she started using photography as one of her key creative mediums.
"My work is based on the theory of emergence and chaos in the development of life, creating a series of works full of variation but with a homogeneity around the spiritual entity of ‘I’ itself, in which I hope to present a completely uninhibited and unregulated vein of the natural development of life. Each of my works is different, but within them, there is a vein that follows a pattern of emergence, and each vein is interwoven to form a dense web in which a chaotic complexity emerges, in which the existence of a subject ‘I’ is naturally revealed. My work reflects my view of life and philosophy through painting, poetry, proverbs, graphics and other forms. I have chosen digital art as my primary medium and am committed to exploring the possibilities of this new artistic medium in the information age. And I’m also willing to embrace all kinds of media to expand the depth and width of art games."

Maureen Vastardis

Rainer Würth

"Underworld." 2024
Rainer Würth (1967) writer, photographer (portraits, body & nude, landscape). In his photos inner and outer landscapes often blur into one another. He is interested in the open, in fragments and abstraction. For him as a photographer it is all about the moment, motif and composition. In the process of taking pictures Rainer Würth experiments with apertures and exposures, intentional camera movement (ICM), light and color. The camera is a tool for him to create visual poetry or to tell a story.
"The absence of color I often see as a gift. It offers me the space to focus on light and shadow, on composition. On the essence of an image, the story it tells, the visual poetry it creates."

"My favorite style of photography is simply exploration, whether rural, urban, or anything in between. I frequent big cities, small towns, and numerous parks (among other locations). Much of the flora, fauna, and other curiosities I’ve discovered have been in seemingly random locations. Many photos include urbex and rurex findings from several areas in Appalachia and the Midwest. I hope to continue exploring new places and seeing what there is to discover."

Olivier Guitton

"Cloudy Mountains." 2023
"I am a 22 years old French student and I have started photography in 2020 after having discovered a film camera and a few lenses that belonged to my grandfather. Since then, taking photos has become both an artistic way of expression and a link to my grandpa whom I’ve never met. When I’m using my camera there is a dialog between the feeling I want to convey, the aesthetic effect needed to do so and the setting of the parameters. Indeed, I am using a fully mechanical camera. At the beginning it was quite difficult but now this process and this duality between an artistic process and a more technical part is really fluent. I am mostly taking landscape pictures as well as detailed photos. I especially enjoy using the bokeh effect which is quite amazing with the old lenses I use. The majority of my pictures are taken during journeys. Photography has helped me to develop a more inquisitive eye when I discover new places, enabling me to appreciate them better."
