“FLOWERS”
A VIRTUAL EXHIBITION
Flowers occupy an unusual position between nature and human culture. They are found in gardens and wild spaces, but are also closely associated with occasions, traditions and personal gestures. Yet flowers are rarely perfectly formed; petals become marked, stems bend, and their structures change with time, creating variations often overlooked in favour of an idealised image of beauty.
Photography offers a way to move beyond these conventional ideas by focusing on their physical presence rather than their symbolism. By capturing their imperfections and placing them within different contexts, photography can reveal a more natural and individual character, where beauty is not dependent on perfection.
